Description
Azactiv 100 Injection is a nucleoside metabolic inhibitor used for the treatment of the myelodysplastic syndrome, a group of cancers that affect the production of blood cells. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients below 18 years of age.
Azactiv 100 mg Injection is the chemical analogue of cytidine, a nucleoside in DNA and RNA, and is used for the treatment of Acute Myeloid Leukemia and Myelodysplastic Syndrome in adults. Azactiv 100 mg Injection also eliminates aberrant, over-crowded blood cell that doesn’t perform properly. Myelodysplastic Syndrome occurs in the bone marrow. It happens when it is not able to produce adequate blood cells due to low functioning. Furthermore, Acute Myeloid Leukemia also occurs in bone marrow that occurs due to the formation of incomplete blood cells.
